Manganese steel crimped wire mesh is a heavy-duty pre-crimped woven screen manufactured for abrasive and high-impact applications. The wires are formed before weaving so that every intersection is securely locked, helping the screen maintain uniform openings and dimensional stability during repeated vibration.

Material Selection for Mining Screens
Manganese steel screen mesh is selected for abrasive mining and aggregate duties. Specify the exact grade, required wire properties and applicable material standard. The commercial name alone does not identify the alloy, heat treatment or guaranteed wear life.
Service life depends on feed abrasiveness, impact, moisture, screen tension, support and operating conditions. Manganese steel does not provide the corrosion resistance of stainless steel.

How to Specify
Please provide both the clear opening and wire diameter. Approximate mesh count per inch = 25.4 ÷ (opening in mm + wire diameter in mm). For vibrating screens, also state the equipment model, feed size, material type, screen angle and required panel dimensions.

- Feed material, maximum feed size, target separation size and expected throughput.
- Wet or dry screening, moisture and any chemical exposure.
- Equipment model, deck position, screen angle and operating vibration details.

A nominal opening does not guarantee a separation cut size or throughput. Particle shape, bed depth and operating settings also affect screening performance.
