Specify Clear Opening or Wire Spacing

State whether your mesh dimension is the clear gap between adjacent wires or the centre-to-centre wire spacing. These are not interchangeable. For parallel equal-diameter wires, clear opening equals centre-to-centre spacing minus wire diameter. Provide a dimensioned drawing and tolerances when matching an existing component.

The specification table is a reference for quotation, not a stock guarantee. Confirm the measurement convention, material, wire diameter, tolerances and manufacturing feasibility together before ordering.

Roll Procurement Checklist

• Material grade, finish and wire diameter; for coated mesh, state whether diameter includes the coating.
• Clear opening or centre spacing in both wire directions.
• Roll width, usable length, dimensional tolerances and quantity.
• Core or roll-diameter limits, handling constraints and edge requirements.
• Cutting, forming, flattening and inspection requirements.

Roll availability depends on the opening and wire diameter. Do not assume that every panel specification can be supplied as a roll.

Project Design and Acceptance

Highway mesh fencing is intended here for boundary isolation and access control, not as a vehicle crash barrier. Construction fence mesh is not automatically a fall-arrest system, load-bearing platform or certified reinforcement mesh. Provide the required project standards, drawings and acceptance criteria before ordering. Posts, frames, fixings and installation design must be assessed together with the mesh.
