Dongce manufactures custom filter screens for liquid, gas and process-filtration applications. Each screen can be produced to your required filtration rating, shape, size and edge treatment.

Available Filter Media

We fabricate filter screens from woven wire mesh, perforated metal, sintered mesh, expanded metal and other suitable filtration media. Material, mesh opening, wire diameter and layer arrangement are selected according to the required flow rate, particle retention and operating conditions.

Please send your required micron rating, material, diameter or overall dimensions, structure, quantity and application medium. Our team will recommend an appropriate filter-media and fabrication solution.

Micron Rating and Media Selection

The 1 micron and above range is a custom filtration requirement, not a guarantee that every material, diameter or construction achieves the same retention. State whether the micron value means a geometric opening, measured pore size or a tested particle-retention rating. For nominal or absolute ratings, provide the test method, efficiency criterion and acceptance requirements.

Woven mesh or sintered mesh may form the filtration layer. Perforated metal and expanded metal are often selected as support or protective layers; these materials alone should not be assumed to provide 1 micron filtration. Final performance depends on the selected medium, tolerances, assembly and operating conditions.

Custom Filter Discs and Screen Packs

For round filter discs, specify the finished diameter from 3 mm and above, thickness and tolerances. For other shapes, supply a dimensioned drawing. This diameter range does not mean every filtration rating, alloy or edge structure can be made at the minimum size.

For multilayer screen packs, identify each layer, its position and the required joining method. For edge-wrapped filter screens, specify the rim material, outer diameter, thickness, sealing interface and whether the edge must prevent bypass.

Process Conditions Required for Selection

• Fluid or gas, chemical composition and viscosity where relevant.
• Required retention, flow rate and permitted pressure drop.
• Operating temperature, maximum differential pressure and flow direction.
• Installation support, sealing method and cleaning requirements.
• Quantity, dimensional tolerances, inspection and packaging.

Industrial Applications and Qualification

Custom filter components can be assessed for chemical processing, petroleum equipment, food machinery, mining process fluids and other industrial filtration systems. Electronics, printing or aerospace-related requirements should be submitted with the equipment specification, cleanliness requirements and drawing for review.

Material designation alone does not establish food-contact compliance, aerospace approval or a pressure rating. Specify any required certificates, traceability, inspection and customer qualification before order confirmation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are custom filter screens and filter discs the same?

A filter disc is a round screen. Custom filter screens also include square, rectangular, framed and special-shaped parts. Specify the shape, dimensions and edge construction.

Does adding layers automatically improve filtration accuracy?

No. A support layer may increase stiffness without changing the fine filtration layer. Retention and pressure-drop requirements must be assessed for the complete assembly.
